Production zone

Campinas and Valinhos Region (São Paulo State). With lands standing on a 660m altitude, this region has Cwa Humid Subtropical climate, with a 21ºC average temperature with rains occuring mostly in summer season (December to February), watering the rich and fertile soil. Valinhos area is the oldest Fig production areas in Brazil, and it is the largest and more proudctive area too, producing large amounts of Roxo de Valinhos (Valinhos Purple), a variety of the Common Fig type,. This region has one of the most moderns agriculture areas in South America and, yet, is high industrialized, counting with a lot of highways and roads connecting production zones, the State Capital (São Paulo City, the 4th largest city in the world) and Santos Port. All these factores makes this production zone, one of the most reliable for fruits trading, specially Avocados, Figs and Caquis.
